In a church in Cheltenham, there was need for a new portable nave altar. The church’s existing high altar meant that the priest celebrating the Eucharist was very isolated from the congregation and it was difficult for the elderly to access. We spoke to Jean, one of the churchwardens about the church’s requirements.

Made for Cheltenham’s Celebration of Craftsmanship & Design in 2015, Nigel’s Lava Table began life as an unloved, unwanted set of gnarly walnut boards which lay languishing at the back of a timber warehouse. Despite numerous imperfections, Nigel saw its potential.


What is often mistaken for nothing more than a decorative wardrobe in the corner of our showroom is, in fact, a direct doorway leading to a hive of production; the Auspicious Furniture workshop.


Having tasked Auspicious to create an eclectic kitchen in their Ludlow home, these clients also desired something equally unique in their bedroom. With complete creative freedom, we were able to design and build an arts and crafts style wardrobe .
